Admissions
WCA strives to bring together a cohesive student body that can best grow
spiritually, intellectually, and physically. Each applicant's academic
potential, scholastic motivation and moral character will be considered.
We prayerfully seek to consider what is best for each child and the
school. WCA reserves the right to deny or defer admission to a child if
their academic ability, behavior or emotional development suggest they
would not be best served by our school. WCA is a covenantal
school requiring that at least one parent is a professing,
practicing Christian.

Spiritual
As our school name clearly states, we are a Christian
institution based upon the tenents
and instruction given through God's word, the Bible. Our students, both
in the ECEC and Academy, encounter on a daily basis the endless truths
of God, His great love, and the wondrous grace extended to us through
His son, Jesus Christ.
All families enrolling in the Westminster Christian Academy
elementary program must sign our statement of faith. Preschool
families must acknowledge our beliefs and agree to have their
children taught in accordance with a Christian school
curriculum. It is not required that WCA students have a personal
testimony of faith in Jesus Christ. However, students have
opportunities through the year to make a profession of faith
through chapel services and Bible class.
Academic
Westminster Christian Academy has an advanced, fast-moving
curriculum. We have found that the combination of small classes,
good teachers, and committed parents allows our students to
advance more quickly each year than national averages. In order
to be qualified for admittance to the school, incoming students
in the elementary and intermediate must show a demonstrated
capacity for academic progress, and, in older students, a
history of academic success. Not every student will benefit from
the same academic program. While we endeavor to use a variety of
teaching strategies to help all of our students learn quickly
and well, we also realize not every student will do well in our
particular program. Our assessment tools are designed to help
ensure that we can provide a good resource for each family and
child, and place our students into a position for success.
Westminster Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnicity, disability or sex to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, disability or sex in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial assistance, athletics, or any other school administered programs, unless a particular status protected by federal, state, or local laws contradict the deeply held religious convictions of the school or Bay Area Presbyterian Church. It reserves the right to admit only those students whose educational needs can be met by the school, in the judgment of the Westminster Christian Academy staff.
